The More the Merrier! Jumbo Kinetic lifts and transports multiple cargoes to UK and USA
Last month, Flying Focus and John Coutts captured our Jumbo Kinetic near North Orkney and Lerwick Port, shipping multiple cargoes for a number of clients including a 1250t Bluewater Energy Lancaster Buoy.
In the images you can see the 1250t Bluewater Lancaster Buoy which was fabricated at Dubai Drydocks World. The buoy was brought alongside in Dubai and loaded from the water by the Jumbo Kinetic team.
It was then shipped to Lerwick, Shetland Islands where is was discharged into the water. After hooking-off, Jumbo coordinated the towage and mooring operation alongside a berth in Lerwick where the buoy was towed to the Lancaster Field. The buoy will connect Bluewater’s FPSO Aoko Mizu to the Lancaster oilfield, which became the first basement prospect drilled by Hurricane Energy in 2009.
You can also see on deck some refinery equipment we were shipping for other clients. These were loaded at Hamriyah and are being shipped as part-cargo to their final destinations.
The Jumbo Advantage – Smart Shipping. No Surprises.
What Jumbo brings to these projects is the expertise of our operators and engineers. Inventive yet safe and efficient ways to ship and install cargoes of all shapes and sizes are engineered on a daily basis by our team. For this project, we worked closely with our clients to create a highly customised solution. The added complexity of multiple cargoes means that smart logistical planning, design and engineering are essential.
If you have any inquiries concerning projects or shipments of part cargoes please contact the Jumbo Shipping Team.
