Jumbo’s Engineering department is involved in projects from the preparation phase until execution of the project. Because of a job opening at our Offshore Engineering team Jumbo seeks a Section Lead Engineering Offshore.

MAIN
RESPONSIBILITIES
- The overall responsibility for the management of all technical content on offshore tenders and projects;
- Lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team;
- Reports to Manager Engineering;
- Accountable for the performance of the Offshore engineering team, including quality of output, safe operability of defined working methods, delegation of work, and budget and time control;
- Define engineering outsource requirements and managing progress and performance of outsourced work;
- Close contact with internal and external stakeholders and other departments within the organization.
WE
REQUIRE
- B.sc/M.sc degree (i.e. Naval Architecture or Mechanical Engineering);
- 10+ years of experience with engineering of offshore projects, whereof at least 5 years of proven experience with leading (project) engineers and draftsmen;
- A generalist engineer who has extensive experience in Installation Engineering (Heavy Lifting, Heavy Transport, Subsea Construction) or a related engineering background;
- Proven ability to setup, structure and manage multi-disciplinary (technical) projects;
- Good (technical) project management skills;
- Sensitivity for and able to effectively manage internal processes;
- Contract awareness; able to identify and when required escalate scope changes towards Project and Engineering Management;
- Fully conversant in English (verbally and in writing).
