Maintenance & Reliability Engineer

In this role you are responsible for managing and optimizing maintenance and ensuring the reliability and optimal performance of vessels and offshore equipment through effective maintenance planning. The key responsibilities include the following:

• Maintain and develop the maintenance and parts database in Star IPS databases;
• Coordinate and support the Manila office assigned colleagues in change requests and administrative tasks;
• Ensure the reliability and optimal performance of all vessel machinery and equipment via planned maintenance strategy and job planning in cooperation with the technical superintendents;
• Ensure the reliability and optimal performance of all offshore equipment and general equipment via planned maintenance strategy and job planning in cooperation with the equipment superintendent;
• Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs;
• Advise and support in the Equipment administration and maintenance software selection project;
• Advise and support IT department with PMS software updates and improvements;
• Manage and analyze maintenance and equipment performance data to support decision-making and continuous improvement.

• In cooperation with the Manila office, maintain the maintenance database and parts database for correct and accurate jobs and parts;
• In cooperation with IT department maintain PMS system software versions and database versions, perform pre-rollout tests and check data integrity;
• Conduct diagnostics and analysis to identify equipment malfunctions patterns or areas for improvement;
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and spare parts inventory in close cooperation with vessels staff and technical superintendents;
• Collect, process, and analyze operational and maintenance data (e.g., equipment performance, failure rates, downtime);
• Generate reports and dashboards to monitor trends, identify recurring issues, and support predictive maintenance;
• Assist in budget preparation and cost control for maintenance operations;
• Train and support vessel crew in maintenance best practices, and data entry protocols.

• Bachelor or Master, preferably within a technical background;
• 5 plus years of experience in a similar position;
• A good command of the English language, both written and spoken;
• Knowledge of the offshore construction industry is a pre.
