Jumbo Offshore provides transport and installation solutions for the offshore energy market based on our 2 DP2 HLCVs with lifting capacities up to 1800 mt and a water depth reach of 3000 m operating worldwide. Beside the Offshore division we have a shipping division where we operate with 8 vessels and 65 vessels together with our joint venture partner SAL & Intermarine under the JSI Alliance.
To strengthen the Operations Department, we are looking for a Vessel Manager Offshore.
MAIN
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the effective and safe execution of offshore projects;
- Liaising with project managers and clients to ensure that projects are executed according to the contract;
- Ensure compliance with project schedule by interdisciplinary management of vessel and internal departments and by making clear agreements;
- Monitoring, control and reporting of financial performance of the vessels;
- Liaising with COO and Commercial department on the impact of changes in the vessel schedule;
- Preparation and execution of offshore projects in compliance with the Jumbo Management System procedures and regulations;
- To incorporate Jumbo’s safety policy in all daily tasks and decisions and encourage others to have a high-quality work standard and have a safe work environment;
- Be the link between all internal departments (Fleet, QHSE, Crewing etc);
- Preparation and execution of (de)-mobilisations;
- Vocal point for vessel management teams offshore;
- Leader of the daily progress meetings.
WE
REQUIRE
The Vessel Manager Offshore requires to be a leader with excellent communication skills, high level of self management and able to work together and easily integrate into multidisciplinary teams. You know how to include people in your ideas and proposals in a natural way. In addition, you are inspiring and motivating.
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Shipping & Transport, Engineering or Nautical College;
- Good awareness of Technical and Operational aspects of offshore projects, varying from topsite to subsea operations;
- Interest for heavy lift operations;
- Commercial skills;
- Knowledge of tasks and duties of ocean-going vessels;
- Good verbal and written communications skills in English;
- Flexibility and willing to travel/operate globally;
- Having worked offshore in heavy lifting/construction projects would be considered a pre.
