Jumbo’s Offshore Department deals with transport and installation solutions for our 2 DP vessels with lifting capacities up to 900 mt and a water depth reach of 3000 m operating worldwide. Beside the Offshore team we have a shipping department where we operate with 8 vessels and 31 vessels together with our joint venture partner SAL under the Jumbo SAL Alliance.

Lifting the Future

Jumbo’s Fleet Management department is responsible for the full technical support of all vessels for both shipping and offshore. The team consists of Technical Superintendents, Project Managers reporting to the Manager Fleet. Because of our strategic ambitions in the area of sustainability, fleet renewal and development of smart asset management solutions, we are looking for a Technical Superintendent.

The Technical Superintendent has the overall technical responsibility for several Jumbo Heavy Lift vessels and is responsible for the safe, economic, and efficient operation of vessels assigned. This includes overseeing the safe day-to-day operations of maintenance and repair, budgeting, survey schedules, vessel inspections and drydock.

The Technical Superintendent also advices and supports the Jumbo’s project teams with the preparations and execution of shipping and offshore projects with respect to the vessel and her certification. You will support the project teams with the installation of temporary project equipment.

MAIN
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures ships are managed and operated in accordance with organizational policies and complies with regulatory and statutory requirements;
  • To provide technical support and consultancy to the vessels;
  • Participating as a member of the project team, who schedules and prepares mobilizations and projects for Jumbo Shipping and/or Jumbo Offshore projects and is involved in the execution of the project;
  • Preparation organization and execution of ship’s dry-docking;
  • Performing condition and safety inspections, coordinating surveys, repairs and claims with Class/Flag State;
  • The Class Certification of the vessel(s);
  • Preparing and managing the budgets for assigned vessels;
  • The supervision of correct and cost-effective purchasing of spare parts, stores, and services.

REQUIRE

  • Technical Bachelor or Master degree;
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience;
  • Fully conversant in English (verbally and in writing);
  • Willing to travel and spend time abroad;
  • Willingness to work irregular hours.
