All in a day’s work!

FAIRMASTER | ROTTERDAM

Home » All in a day’s work!

This video shows a technical lifting project involving our extended outreach capabilities that brought our HLV Fairmaster and crew to their hometown port of Rotterdam!

The vessel arrived early on a sunny morning with a 1350 t bridge section on deck having safely loaded the structure with the ship’s own heavy lift cranes in Laem Chabang, Thailand for our client Aibel.

The bridge section measured 100.65 x 25.15 x 24.31 m and so the lengthy outreach of our cranes along with their lift capacity was essential for this project. (We utilised the capacity of our vessel to the maximum, both in deck strength and in lifting capacity to ready us for the loading challenge!)

Spot on preparation and open communication between all parties meant that discharging operations conducted by Allseas’ Pioneering Spirit went safely and according to plan. In fact, all discharge operations in Rotterdam took about 20 hours in total, before the Fairmaster and crew sailed away to the next heavy lift project.
