Jumbo Maritime signed a contract for the T&I of TP’s scheduled for installation in 2027 and 2028. Specifically for the preparation of this project we are looking for an interim Fabrication Manager. The Fabrication Manager oversees and manages all subcontracted fabrication activities for Jumbo Maritime, acting as the primary liaison with fabrication subcontractors to ensure equipment is manufactured to project specifications, contractual requirements, and quality and safety standards.
MAIN
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee and manage the fabrication activities performed by subcontractors & suppliers, ensuring all project equipment is manufactured in accordance with project specifications, contractual requirements, and quality standards on behalf of Jumbo Maritime;
- Act as the primary point of contact between Jumbo Maritime and fabrication subcontractors;
- Monitor and verify that all fabrication processes and deliverables meet the agreed technical, quality, and safety standards;
- Coordinate with project management, engineering, procurement, and quality assurance teams to align fabrication activities with project timelines and objectives. QA related you are responsible for the development and implementation and management of the OMS;
- Proactively identify and address any risks or issues related to subcontracted fabrication;
- Development, implementation and management of all quality aspects to fulfill Jumbo Offshore’s obligations under the project’s contract.
YOUR
TASKS
- Review and approve subcontractor fabrication plans, procedures, and quality documentation;
- Conduct site visits and inspections at subcontractor facilities to monitor progress and compliance;
- Nominate and coordinate QC inspectors on local sites;
- Facilitate and participate in audits, quality checks, and witness points as required by contract;
- Track and report fabrication progress, highlighting any deviations or delays, and initiate corrective actions when necessary;
- Ensure that all relevant documentation (certificates, inspection reports, as-built records) is collected and maintained;
- Liaise with subcontractors to resolve technical queries and ensure timely communication of requirements and changes.
WE
REQUIRE
- Bachelor or Master, preferably within a technical background;
- 5 plus years of experience in a similar position, working for an offshore project;
- A good command of the English language, both written and spoken;
- Knowledge of the offshore construction industry and standards;
- You are based in the Netherlands and able to commute to Schiedam;
- Willingness to travel.
TERMS OF
EMPLOYMENT
This is a freelance role where we expect a start date of 1 March 2026 for an average of 3 days per week increasing to a Fulltime role depending on phase of the project.
