Full-time (40 hours per week)

Jumbo Maritime is a leading Dutch shipping and offshore company, specialized in heavy lift transportation and offshore installation projects worldwide. With our headquarters in the Netherlands and offices across the globe, we deliver safe, innovative, and sustainable solutions to our clients. To support our HR Team, we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join our Manila office.

The role

As an HR Assistant, you play a key role in supporting the HR Department with a wide range of administrative and operational tasks. You will work closely with HR colleagues in Manila and the Netherlands and contribute to a professional and efficient HR operation. In this role, you report to and are guided by the HR & Payroll Administrator in Manila. Safety, quality, and integrity are central to everything you do.

MAIN
RESPONSIBILITIES

In collaboration with the Netherlands (Head Office)

  • Support the full recruitment process, including posting vacancies, screening applications, and coordinating interviews;
  • Manage candidate communication, including interview invitations and rejections;
  • Maintain close communication with the Corporate Recruiter and hiring managers in the Netherlands;
  • Provide general HR administrative support (contracts, letters, agreements);
  • Maintain accurate employee data in HR systems;
  • Prepare documentation for external funds and compliance requirements;
  • Perform additional HR tasks and independently manage assigned responsibilities.

Responsibilities – Manila

  • Conduct initial interviews for Manila-based roles;
  • Support HR onboarding and orientation sessions for new employees including offboarding process;
  • Assist with employee onboarding initiatives, health & wellness activities, and compliance programs;
  • Coordinate employee training sessions and seminars;
  • Prepare and support HR management reports, including leaves and absences, health tracking, attrition/retention, surveys, and crew medical (PEME) claims and P&I reimbursements;
  • Manage HR and office file administration, including legal documents, permits and licenses, contracts, and government regulatory compliance;
  • Provide support for office and purchasing administrative tasks;
  • Assist with crewing administrative tasks and events as required.

YOUR
PROFILE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field;
  • Experience in an HR support or administrative role is an advantage;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with a hands-on mindset;
  • Excellent communication skills in English; confident in speaking up and interacting with Dutch colleagues;
  • Proactive, takes initiative, and comfortable working in an international environment;
  • Able to collaborate effectively across cultures and time zones;
  • Discreet and trustworthy when handling confidential information;
  • Affinity with the maritime and/or offshore industry is a plus.
