Connecting with the future of Marine Technology at TU Delft
Last month, our team had the opportunity to connect with the talented students of Marine Technology at TU Delft during the Maritime Match Day. With the theme being ‘Welcome to the new age’, the day was packed with numerous activities aimed to connect the industry with the new generation of marine engineers.
The symposium began with enlightening lectures on the advancements in AI, setting the tone for a day dedicated to exploring technical advancements and their impact on the maritime industry. In the field of AI in maritime technology, numerous opportunities were shown, while also emphasizing the limitations.
Our CEO Daan Koornneef participated in a morning discussion panel, sharing insights alongside industry specialists of ABN Amro, APM Terminals and Nevesbu. Topics ranged from geopolitics to renewable fuels and even AI. The participants clearly stated the challenges in their respective fields, finding some common ground by the end.

Throughout the day, we were present at the business fair, joining 30 other companies in showcasing the opportunities within our organization. We had productive conversations with students, discussing potential student jobs, graduation theses, and starter positions at Jumbo Maritime.
