Jumbo wins contract with Ithaca for Installation of the Stella FPF-1 mooring system in the North Sea
On Monday 3rd of February 2014, Jumbo signed a Contract with Ithaca Energy for the provision of the FPF-1 Mooring System Installation for the Greater Stella Area Development. Installation of the mooring system will be done by Jumbo's Fairplayer, a state of the art DP2 Heavy Lift Vessel with 2 x 900 MTon revolving deep-water cranes. The offshore installation works are anticipated to commence in June/July 2014.
With last year’s successful mooring installations for Enquest in the Alma/Galia field , Fairplayer’s unique installation method proved again to be the best technical and most cost efficient solution. Manager of Commerce Offshore, Roddy Lafontaine says; “This award is an excellent opportunity to further strengthen Jumbo’s experience in becoming a leading (Deepwater) Mooring Contractor. I would like to sincerely thank Ithaca for the confidence placed in Jumbo and we are very much looking forward to a successful cooperation and completion of the project.
